• New Riverworld Makes a Ratings Splash for SyFy Channel

    Updated: 2010-04-30 05:54:08
Get it? Splash? “Riverworld”? Ahem. If our “Riverworld” review comments section is any indication, most of the 2.1 million viewers that tuned into the SyFy Channel’s premiere of “Riverworld” didn’t like what they saw, but they nevertheless helped the channel to its highest Sunday night rating for the year. The “Riverworld” premiere on April 18th netted 2.1 million in total viewers, with an averaged 1.03 million adults 25-54 and 733,000 adults 18-49 along with a 1.6 household rating. Needless to say, SyFy is very happy. Now the question is: were they happy enough with the ratings to greenlight a series? Or, more importantly, do viewers actually want one?

    Updated: 2010-02-09 22:16:37
Chad Vader is Back for Season 3!! The first episode is ok – funny but not ROFL funny. Chad needs to pick a day shift manager for the day and can’t decide. So he installs a surveillance cam – that looks like a Death Star with a feed that goes directly to his helmet – [...]

  • Star Trek: The Sexed Generation – Funny Mashup of TNG

    Updated: 2010-02-09 21:58:21
We really miss Star Trek The Next Generation – there really isn’t a SciFi show on TV now that even comes close. Today one of the top stories on Digg was a mashup video of some TNG goodness. Yes the ‘words’ are taken out of context – but not always. And oh yeah there is [...]

  • Caprica’s Zoe Greystone aka Alessandra Torresani Gets (near) Naked for Maxim – but lots of airbrush support

    Updated: 2010-02-09 03:16:01
We’re still figuring out Caprica – and Zoe Greystone played by actress Alexxandra Torresani. Torresani managed to find the time to pose for Maxim – in some of the most airbrushed pics we’ve ever seen. It’s not clear how much is actually the actress and how much is just photoshop. Still – they’re great pics [...]

I read some other reviews that accused the film of racism , which I didn't agree with the movie did not seem to be particularly concerned with matters of skin color or place of origin per se . So I went a different route and suggested it was simply misanthropic , but that didn't quite fit , . either I recently ran across a link which I now can't find , but which was probably over here someplace to the essay , A Nostalgia for Mud by Esther Pasztory , in the Precolumbian Art Research Institute Newsletter . Though it

I've decided that's going to be my fanboy advocacy thingy . Looking up from a textbook of epistemology . ugh . I notice this month's tour goes out to Andrew Peterson and his novel North Or Be Eaten Now , if I were a phenomenalist , I would rewrite that title as , Do that which will produce the sense data you interpret as moving north , or else experience the sense-data--followed by the immediate cessation thereof--you would interpret as being eaten . I humbly propose that the the phenomenalists be

In order to correct this , they kindly sent me a hat designed to add the right amount of Aw3S0m3SAuc3 to my otherwise dull . attire So , as you can see , they constructed for me the steam-powered , hamster-operated hat from MegaTokyo Detail of this panel As you can see , the makers of this hat are aware of my weakness for wuzzy stuffed animals . The operator of this fine headpiece is a little hamster who tells me he is my conscience , but he doesn't bother
