At any rate , on this the first of Advent , it is time once again for our annual Keep Mass in Christmas Campaign Are you seriously angry that people don't reference your holiday while making embarrassing public displays of greed Do you live in an alternate universe Are you some kind of robot If you answered yes , or no , to any of the questions above , you need to join The Sci Fi Catholic s Keep Mass in Christmas Campaign where we prefer to tell Christians to remember the proper way to celebrate Christmas , rather than telling everybody else , for whom celebrating Christmas wouldn't make much sense . anyway Cracking a joke at an opponent's expense , for example , can demolish that person's argument if the joke succeeds in diverting attention away from the issue and causing the opponent to appear silly . Presidential debates and other forums for political candidates often show the success these tactics find . So does the
No new Stargate Universe this week, but next week will be the last episode for a few months…
Yeah we hate mid-season finales too.
The basic story behind the mid-season finale is another character story – this time we’ve got a murder on the destiny.
Everyone is shocked when a member of the crew is found dead from [...]
Sure it’s been out for a two week on DVD now but Black Friday pricing for Star Trek 2009 is really out of this world.
Over at Amazon -Star Trek (Single-Disc Edition) – is only $9 which is half price for a brand new copy.
We haven’t yet seen $9 copies anywhere else, though we’d expect [...]
He’s baaaaack! Sure the first Universal Solider was trite scifi pulp, but it was still kinda/sorta fun right?
And hey enough people remember it, that apparently it’s good enough to have a sequel – albeit direct to DVD.
And if one 90’s action hero washout isn’t enough, it also include Dolf Lundgren (remember him from Rocky IV?) [...]
The Flu vaccine is all part of an Alien/Lizard/V/Visitor conspiracy.
I knew there was a good reason why we didn’t get the H1N1 vaccine.
BUT THE WHAT THE FRAK? Does ABC have no ethics? Plant a story about the flu vaccine being a route for alien control? rly? Aren’t people scared enough about the Flu vaccine [...]
So Katee Sackhoff aka Battlestar Galactica’s Starbuck made a a guest appearance on The Big Bang Theory -
It was easily the best cameo yet for the show which has had Summer Glau and Wil Wheaton so far.
No Katee isn’t naked, but she is in the tub with Howard (isn’t that every male geek’s fantasy??)
Some of [...]
The observers are the whole key to the pattern, they’re everywhere in time
but last night’s episode -..August – well …now we know there are many Observers – which is kinda neat.
But the whole think with the one observer watching the girl from when she was small and then being in ‘love’ with her? COME [...]
FlashForward really sucked tonight.
Mostly it sucked because it was just a character set-up episode.
Bryce chases his vision all the way to Tokyo and finds nothing while Keiko does the same but only in reverse. Sure that was interesting but it didn’t have to be the whole frakking episode.
Let’s hope the next episode (in two [...]
It’s official. FOX is cancelling Dollhouse.
Is anyone surprised?
This is FOX after all, they canceled Firefly and from the very first episode (which was awesome), we knew the FRAKKERS at FOX had their fingers on the button to kill this show.
It’s bad enough the show is on hiatus for the whole month of November too, but [...]
The second episode of ABC’s V was another really great episode.
The key character is really shaping up to be FBI Agent Erica Evans played by actress Elizabeth Mitchell.
She’s strong, tough and saavy. And how about that shower scene? No nudity. And that’s a good thing. It means she’s serious and the shows producers are not [...]

Jordan Mechner’s Prince of Persia, started as a fun computer side scrolling game back in the 80’s.
Now Walt Disney Pictures with Jerry Bruckheimer has transformed the game to [...]
Katee ‘Starbuck is a Frakkin Angel’ Sackhofff is coming to the Big Bang Theory.
The word is that she connects with Wolowitz. No word yet if there will be BIG BANG ..yeaah a weak pun.
The summer glau cameo was a little weak last season but still entertaining.
Last week’s Will Wheaton cameo was hilarious though..
Let’s hope [...]
So far Stargate Universe has been a BUST literally.
The show has been mostly lame, but the ‘bust’ quotient was really high this week in the Darkness
episode.
The biggest culprit was one Lt. Vanessa James who was front and center with her…ahem..assets.
The actress that plays Lt. James - Julia Benson is now on the defense – and [...]
Battlestar Galactica the Plan is out on Oct 27 and to help promote the event, Trica Helfner (six) and Grace Park posed for Maxim.
Yeaah hot toasters.
Not only are they posing for some explicit pics, they’re also hinting at some explicit scenese in the upcoming DVD.
Tricia Helfer: There will certainly be a lot more explicit action [...]
Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic is being cancelled by Dark Horse as of issue 50 in Feb of 2010.
THAT SUCKS.
If anyone needed proof that Dark Horse is run by idiots, here is one prime example.
This series has grown on us as we’ve followed Zayne around. Sure once the conspiracy against him was [...]
One of our favorite series of all time is Issac Asimov’s Foundation.
Both the original Foundation, Foundation and Empire and Second Foundation and then the latter Foundation’s Edge series which tied foundation together to R. Daneel Olivaw the Robot.
In a real sense it was Asimov and The Foundation series that ignited our life long love of [...]
We’re a little behind the curve here, but have now just watched the first two episodes of Clone Wars Season 2
So far so good.
Though..the plot was a little thin. I mean come ON how could Bain walk out of the Jedi temple without someone sensing him in the Force? That was a bit of a [...]
Yeaah a book trailer. It’s actually a great idea that book publishers (and comic publishers) should consider doing more often.
With Star Wars Death Troopers, the trailers are fan made as a result of a Del-Ray sponsored contest.
We’ll save the time and embed the best one below. You can go vote for this one yourself over [...]
The Winds of Dune is the last sequel — or rather midquel – in the ongoing extended Dune series.
This book follows Paul of Dune by publication – and was originally supposed to be called Jessica of Dune. Why that name changed I don’t know.
This books is about Jessica from beginning to end. It is [...]
