Oops I've been on the road and visiting home , and I was about to start in on an important post I hope I can get up tomorrow or the day after , and realized I once again spaced the blog tour . That's what I get for moving and utterly changing my life during a blog tour . My apologies to all tour members and visitors who have come to this blog looking for a book discussion and instead found narcissistic personal notes . I bet you never expected to see those on a . blog Okay , the author this month is Robin Parrish , and the novel is Offworld as you can guess from the title , this novel is being published in a new experimental digital format broadcast from deep space . Contact your local SETI representative for your . copy Hm , even I can't laugh at that . Okay , that's enough for title jokes . Let's get on to : content First , you can see Robin Parrish's website here and his blog here The plot summary goes like this : The crew of the first manned Mars mission
Sure Terminator 3 sucked – and yes Terminator Salvation sucked too – and yeaaah Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles sucked too..
Not of those SUCK arse shows/movies SUCK as bad as The Terminators
This is a straight to DVD release by a bunch of knock-off copyright scam artists -
So no even though you might think that [...]
V is coming to ABC on Nov 3, 2009 and we’re excited as FRAK to see it.
Will this be a re-imagined masterpiece like Battlestar Galactica?
That’s what we all hope for isn’t it?

The first post-pilot episode (technically episode 3)of Defying Gravity was on Sunday night..and it wasn’t half as good as the pilot.
Instead of telling us who/what Beta is – barely a mention – we get a long drawn out sloooooooooow episode.
Yes the whole bit about libido suppression was interesting – and the halo was an [...]
A lot of buz today on the SciFi scene about a new Science Fiction version of Robin Hood heading for the big screen.
Could it be Rocket Robin Hood?!!!
Rocket Robin Hood is a cult classic late 60′ cartoon – cheesy and campish. But it’s classic and it’s awesome. As a kid, me an my friends would [...]
Awesome site called WhereIWrite.org has an amazing collection of pictures of the ‘offices’ of some famous (living) scifi authors.
Here’s one of my fav authors – Piers Anthony – and his office is one of the most orderly in the whole set.

Really?!? Imagine greater?!? Who is the channel trying to convice? Us the viewers, who have grown ti
Yeaah we’re pumped for Tron 2..we sure have waited long enough.
Last year they were going to call it TR2N which was one of the coolest names for a flick ever.
Now the Mickey Mousketeers and Disney have butchered that and are now calling the moving Tron Legacy.
Isn’t that a little lame?
Early footage looks awesome though – [...]
A new bunch of Habro ships are now out – including a new Super Vulture Droid fighter!
Loads of weapons on this bad boy – 6 rockets with 2 launchers, for all sorts of combat fun. A spring-loaded “head” pops up to compliment the split-apart wings, which transforms the ship from sleek starfighter to a birdlike [...]
The Star Trek Destiny series ripped apart the Star Trek universe leaving billions dead and billions more homeless…
This isn’t a Federation vs SOMEONE ELSE book, this is a Federation against itself book as it tries to deal with massive refugee movements and politics.
At first I was a bit skeptical — but once I got [...]
There have been a lot of fan films based off Star Wars – the original movie episode IV A New Hope – over the last 30 years.
Now Star Wars Uncut has an ingenious way to get a whole star wars movie made by fans – 15 seconds at a time.
It’s an interesting idea – but [...]
So at long last – we finally hit the final book in the HitchHiker’s series and Mostly Harmless really is mostly fun.
The whole bit with Tricia/Tristan in parallel timelines wasn’t just the typical Adams sillyness – but is brilliantly crafted character scifi too.
What if you chose a different path what would have happened sort [...]
MJ’s only SciFi film directed by Francis Ford Coppola and produced by George Lucas.
Michael Jackson plays Captain EO Leader of a Spaceship and a misfit crew confronting an evil queen, “The Supreme Leader” (Anjelica Houston).
The seventeen minute film was shot in full 3-D for Disneyland’s Tomorrowland attraction Magic Eye Theater, the feature ran from 1986-1997.
Michael [...]
im all down for out with the old, in with the new, but really there are things in this galaxy that
We mostly liked the first book in the Fate of the Jedi series: Outcast. It starts off an interesting new Star Wars series..
The only problem is that this series is all hardcover and as such is triple the price per book of a paperback.
The economy is what it is and hey we can’t afford to [...]
After all the negative hype about Ron Moore’s (ex-BSG) Virtuality show – I expect the show to really suck.
IT DIDN’T.
Virtuality was actually a really decent human drama – the special Fx were pitiful and worse than what the BBC does – but the basic plot line was interesting as were the characters.
Sure…it had the same [...]

Each book in the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy is different and each has its own charm. We just finished reading So Long and Thanks for all the Fish – and wow a bit different than the other books — yet still very enjoyable to read.
Earth – thanks to the Dolphins – is back. Once [...]
Dollhouse is back on Friday Sept. 18 at 9 p.m.
This new second season should start off with a real bang as Echo is still out on the run with Alpha..
and oh yeah Agent Ballard is now working for the Dollhouse (for now).
We don’t have to wait until september to get our first new dollhouse episode [...]
Fringe is back — soon.
Season two starts on Thursday September 17th at 9 PM. That’s right Fringe is moving from Tuesdays to Thursday and will now be up against The Office.
Will Fringe survive? I don’t think so..this is the wrong time slot for this show.
Timing aside, we’re really looking forward to the second season of [...]
Yeaah Terminator Salvation as a movie was kinda lame – but Blair the A-10 Warthog pilot was kinda hot..
And she’s BAAACK! Well at least the animated version of her in the Terminator Salvation Machinima series. You can get the whole series from Amazon, but check out the Episode 1 preview below…
The animation is pretty slick, [...]
