As BroadwayWorld has previously reported, the 2008 Tony and Grammy Award-winning Best Musical In The Heights welcomes 19 Recordings/Jive Records platinum recording artist and 2007 "American Idol" winner Jordin Sparks as Broadway's new Nina Rosario on August 19, 2010. 20 year old Jordin Sparks will be making her Broadway debut, playing a limited 12 week engagement through Sunday, November 14, 2010.
During a Monday night concert, June 28, at House of Blues, Sparks surprised the audience with a teaser of her performance to come, singing 'Breathe" from In The Heights.

Following the departure of Broadway musical The Fantasticks at the Duchess Theatre, which closes this Saturday 26 June, a touring production of The Secret of Sherlock Holmes will run at the venue.
