Microsoft's long awaited Windows Phone 7 operating system will be hitting stores in November, and details of the first phonesare now emerging, with T-Mobile announcing two. They will be offering the HTC HD7 and the Dell Venue Pro in November, but pricing is not yet available.

Apple CEO Steve Jobs has just announced the iPhone 4, the next generation of the iPhone. The new model will include a 5-megapixel, 720p video capturing front camera and an LED flash on the rear camera, as well as a higher resolution display, priced at $199 for the 16GB model and $299 for the 32GB one. The new version of the OS will be available on phones at the end of the year, and will try to catch up some of the ground that the company has lost to Apple\'s iPhone and Google\'s Android OS.
5 Jan 2010 - Google is getting into the cell phone business with the Nexus one, the first cell phone to be sold under the Google brand. The Nexus One phone, which is made by HTC, is on sale now for $180 with an $80 a month, 2-year contract from T-Mobile.
27th Jan 2010 - Apple has just announced their new iPad tablet device, which will be available with GSM 3G connectivity. In an interesting move, this will cost $15 a month for 250MB, or $30 a month for unlimited use, with no long-term contract.
With the iPhone 3G S, Apple has taken a good thing and made it better. The latest iteration of the iPhone adds a much better camera, faster processor, more memory and a number of new software features that make it easier to use and more flexible. That\'s a considerable set of improvements that make the iPhone 3G S a very attractive package, but existing iPhone users probably won\'t find enough here to force them to upgrade.
17th June 09 - Apple has just released version 3.0 of the iPhone operating system, in preparation for Friday\'s release of the new iPhone 3G S. The new software doesn\'t need the new iPhone, though; it is compatible with all iPhones from the first generation onwards. It adds a number of new features, including cut and paste and a number of new features that make writing programs easier and more flexible. A full list of the new features is available here. Announced at the 2009 developer\'s conference, the new iPhone will include extended battery life, and includes a faster processor than previous models. It will also include support for 7.2Mbps HSDPA and has a 3 megapixel camera that include autofocus and which can capture video. The new iPhone 3GS will cost $199 for the 16Gb version, and $299 for the 32Gb model The existing iPhone 3G will continue to be available, but at the reduced price of $99. The iPhone 3GS will be released on June 19th in the US and several other countries.
