GM just announced that the deal to sell the failing Hummer brand to Chinese company Sichuan Tengzhong Heavy Industrial Machines Co., Ltd. fell through. No specifics were given, only that they were “unable to complete the acquisition of HUMMER.” Way to be specific there, boys.
As a result, GM is shutting down Hummer completely, Pontiac-style. Still [...]
You’ve probably seen the ads around, maybe heard them on radio and whatnot. Donate your car to The School of The Sacred Heart of Our Lady of Perpetual Motion, and you can write it off as a charitable car donation.
Indeed, that is true, in a sense. There are a number of organizations out there that [...]
So here we have the Audi RS 5. It’s a rather handsome coupe that sports a 450 horsepower V8 engine under the hood. So, in a lot of ways, you could look at this as being sort of an Audi version of a older Chevy Impala. Sure, sure, it’ll be much more sophisticated, but the [...]
A Toyota Prius, on an enthusiast’s Web site? We must be joking. Why on Earth would we want to talk about a hybrid when we cover vehicles like the Chevrolet Camaro SS and the Lotus Evora?
Because this tiny sedan is a precursor to what will be the norm for all automobile in the near [...]
Getting consumers to try something new, and something that they might be wary about is always a difficult hurdle to overcome. It is especially difficult to overcome if what you’re trying to get consumers to buy costs in the tens of thousands of dollars and might leave them stranded by the side of the road.
This [...]
This RHD Giulia SS is available right now out of France for 29,500 Euro’s or $39,700 at time o
Last year I ran an article about how to restore headlights when they get cloudy or yellow. I used a Turtle Wax product, appropriately called “Headlight Lens Restorer,” which did a great job at restoring them to a clearer look. One thing I did notice, however, was that it didn’t take long for the headlights [...]
If you lived anywhere near the Raleigh, NC area in late 2008, you may have heard a mysterious and loud blood-curdling scream off in the distance. Yup, that was me when I found out the Audi made the decision to replace their magnificent 4.2-liter, 354 hp V8 engine with a whiny V6 engine producing 333 [...]
Kia just released a few official design sketches for the next-generation Optima, or Magentis if you live in Europe or Canada. Say those together: Optima-Magentis. Sounds a bit like an X-Men villain, doesn’t it?
Kia didn’t release any more info on the next X-Men villain, but I expect to see more information trickle in soon.
Beware…of the [...]
Oh sweet, not just a breathed on Golf GTI, but the German tuning house (haus?) MTM has had a go at the Golf GTD diesel as well. Before I dive into the specific coolness of all this, let me just say (for the umpteenth time) that we should really have the Golf GTD over here. [...]
OK, the BMW M3 is a pretty damn impressive car, so why monkey with it? Give me one good reason, you might ask. OK, how about I give you 655 reasons? Because that’s the horsepower figure for the Manhart Racing tuned BMW M3 E92 Compressor. 655 HP! That’s a whole lot for a car that [...]

Last year, we drove a 2009 VW Jetta TDI sedan from Raleigh, NC to Washington DC and back on less than one tank of diesel, which ended up to be around 46 mpg on average. We praised the car not only on its exceptional fuel economy, but on its livability, excellent 6-speed manual transmission, peppy [...]
Ahhhh, tasty! What we have here is the just unveiled Ultimate XKR Special Edition. Of course, my first thought was “Why no pics of it in BRG? Don’t these Brits have any sense of history?” but it sure looks good in either blue or white, no?
The New 2011 XKR is the latest generation of Jaguar’s [...]
Well it’s about time. Volkswagen has finally gotten their 2010 Jetta TDI Cup Street Edition into the hands of their dealers, and hopefully, into the hands of consumers soon. Sure, the current Jetta TDI as it exists in stock form is highly desirable, and the TDI Sportwagen seem to flying off the shelves. The Jetta [...]
Two shiny new exotic cars – a Lamborghini Murcielago and Ferrari F430 – wrecked into each other in South Africa, and that’s not even interesting part. The two drivers involved were attending a wedding reception for the family of the ruling political party in the town of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, when the cars collided. The [...]

Ford recently rolled out the new MyTouch system, and it has been garnering raves for what it could possibly bring to the automotive world. Essentially MyTouch is Ford’s Sync system on steroids, a Maxi-Sync, if you will. MyTouch seeks to blend Ford in vehicle features into a cohesive experience that will feature intuitive controls, [...]
