Entitled 17 Days it tackles the tricky subject of the Chilean miners trapped following the mining accident . McCarthy has written a substantial piece his blog refers to it being some 39 minutes long for chorus , childrens choir , brass group and percussion . A tricky , but inherently dramatic , subject it will be fascinating to see how McCarthy has transmuted it into a choral piece .
