A post over at The Comfortable Words reminded me of one of my favorite images. It is the poster of "The Great Rapprochement", the beginning of our alliance with our British kin.Usually I feel that the Unites States is isolated in a world of relativism or peace at any cost regardless of principal, but Nicholas reminds me that we do have some people that care about us as we do them.
I am placing here a link to Christian Family Fellowship's sermon audio page because I believe the church is committed to the essentials of the Reformed faith, especially the doctrines of grace and justification by faith alone. Mark Thompson, professor of theology at Moore Theological College in Sydney, has made interesting remarks concerning the threat of liberal theology even in the Global South. (See Theological Education: The Next Battlefield). The strategy of the liberals is to infiltrate the seminaries in Africa and Asia with the liberal revisionist views they hold. If American seminaries are any indication,
This is the central issue of the Reformation. Reformation 101. Justification is a fiat once-for-all declaration that occurs the moment someone first believes. We are accounted as righteous not because of anything or any change that occurs within us, or, that we are by any means actually righteous, but are accounted as righteous because of Christ’s righteousness (His active and passive

Ohio Monday , October 19, 2009 Olde Anglican Quote for the Day He Who made all things in heaven and earth , visible and invisible , by His Own Power and Will as God , governs them by His Eternal Laws . At best man has but a limited comprehension of those Laws , only such as God has chosen to reveal , as man by Divine permission rightly uses his God-given powers of investigation . Consequently , the Incarnation , instead of being a change or suspension of these Laws , may very properly , for all we know , have been the completion and fulfillment of them , as the Church believes and the Scriptures infer . He Who made the world out of nothing and made man in His Own Image , after His Likeness , He Who rideth upon the wings of the wind and ruleth the raging of the sea , could have found , may we reverently say , no difficulty about the Incarnation . Rather would this act of love which bridges the gap between earth and heaven , by sending into our very midst God's Divine Son seem to be the crowning

He was a physician Col 4:14 a companion of Paul on some of his missionary journeys Acts 16:10 20:5 27-28 Material found in his Gospel and not elsewhere includes much of the account of Our Lord's birth and infancy and boyhood , some of the most moving parables , such as that of the Good Samaritan and that of the Prodigal Son , and three of the sayings of Christ on the Cross : Father , forgive them , Thou shalt be with me in Paradise , and Father , into thy hands I commend my spirit . In Luke's account of the Gospel , we find an emphasis on the human love of Christ , on His compassion for sinners and for suffering and unhappy persons , for outcasts such as the Samaritans , tax collectors , lepers , shepherds not a respected profession and for the poor . The role of women in Christ's ministry is more emphasized in Luke than in the other Gospel . writings In the book of Acts , we
